Anxiety Panic Attacks Are Real To Sufferers

Anxiety panic attacks have many disturbing symptoms. Some of these are irrational fear, panic, palpitations, chest pain, headache, dizziness, sweating, nausea and tingling in the hands and arms.

Did you know that one out of seventy five people will have an anxiety panic attack?  This is a normal reaction to stress.  However, there are those who suffer from excessive stress.  This makes ordinary situations difficult for them and they end up having anxiety panic attacks.  When this stage is reached it is no longer anxiety but panic.  This causes even more stress and the person is living in an unbearable cycle.

Anxiety panic attacks have many disturbing symptoms.  Some of these are irrational fear, panic, palpitations, chest pain, headache, dizziness, sweating, nausea and tingling in the hands and arms.  When a sufferer is feeling like this he or she has the urge to get away from wherever they are.  There are many people who suffer from anxiety panic attacks.  They have an overwhelming feeling of being out of control.

Anxiety panic attacks are irrational as they are caused by the sufferer having a feeling of disaster.  It is impossible for them to shake this off even though there is no disaster whatsoever.  This feeling can happen anywhere, such as, in a restaurant, at a party or at the workplace.  The person can enter into a state that is almost dreamlike to them.  They have a sense of not being a part of reality.  This feeling is called ‘derealisation or depersonalization’.  This sensation of looking in is so unpleasant and frightening that the person tries to avoid being with other people.  Very often they stop going out and become reclusive.  They now also have the condition of agoraphobia.

Understanding Anxiety Panic Attacks

People who experience anxiety panic attacks need to be informed of the condition.  Very often they believe they are insane.  This is quite untrue.  There is no definitive answer to the reason for anxiety panic attacks.  There are many theories regarding this.  Research is being done that covers psychological, biological and psychodynamic.  Psychodynamic is a complaint that is the result of trauma or negative experiences from the past.  What is important is the control of anxiety panic attacks.

Anxiety panic attacks have to be treated with psychotherapy.  The largest part of the psychology that is used is cognitive therapy.  Appropriate medication is also part of the program.  The whole objective is to transform thought processes that are pessimistic.  This will in turn transform daily habits.  The person being treated for anxiety panic attacks will be taught certain techniques.  These will ideally reduce blood pressure, slow the heart rate, relieve tension and bring about relaxation.

It is believed that certain types of yoga are highly beneficial in the treatment of anxiety panic attacks.  Yoga is especially good for teaching deep breathing techniques.  This could be very useful in the calming of the person who has anxiety panic attacks.
