Got Milk? How About Water And Juice?


You can find a soda machine just about anywhere, but you might find it difficult to find a vending machine that offers real, healthy fruit drinks for your kids. Many so called fruit drinks are full of fat and sugar; you have to be selective when picking the right choice for your kids.

There are a lot of reasons why you have to be selective when choosing the right drinks for your kids because many of them lack what their bodies need for proper development through the years. They also don't have the vitamins and nutrients they need; so be picky.

So what are good choices for your child? It's time to get back to basics.

The human body requires a specific amount of water daily and most kids aren't getting it. Water is vitally important for maintain a well functioning body; this is what your kids need most.

Basis, everyday water has no taste and it's hard to get your kids to drink something that doesn't taste good. Try adding some flavor like a slice of lemon or lime or make it very cold to satisfy them even more.

While there are plenty of flavored waters on the market, many of them are flavored with artificial sweeteners. While this doesn't cause them to be higher in calorie, artificial sweeteners may not be the best things for your child's body. Try to stick to plain water as much as possible.

There are a lot of falsehoods concerning juices concerning the amount of juice your child drinks. It's been shown that no matter how much they drink they will not become overweight adults; it's still a healthy choice.

Juice is fine for your child as long as you research the different types of drinks and make sure it is real just and not one of those imitation type juices. Water is best, but juice taste much better.

Last, but certainly not least importantly, is milk; you child needs a proper amount of milk daily to maintain healthy teeth and bones. Milk is a great source of calcium and if you must, I live "Ovaline" in my mile; it adds flavor as well as vitamins and minerals.
