3 Day Diet Not Sensible
Human nature is fascinating; we are intelligent and logical creatures, yet we often do the most absurd things. One of the best examples of this is how we tackle the issue of weight loss. Instead of using our logical minds to investigate nutrition, healthy eating habits, an active lifestyle and a steady exercise program, we grab at straws like a 3 day diet. We want instant gratification; a miracle quick fix to lose unwanted weight, or that magic pill or cream that will keep us young forever. We seriously consider a 3 day diet.
Fads have come and go and the latest is the 3 day diet that promises us in glowing terms that we will lose ten pounds in three days by eating the foods as stated. Well a 3 day diet would have to make such promises. Instead of laughing at this absurdity, what do we do? We run off to the shops with the list to buy the foods as stated. Checking off the list of cheese, tea, apples, toast, tuna, coffee and saltine crackers should immediately tell you that there is not a single item on that list that is going to shock your system into suddenly going into overdrive. A 3 day diet contains no ancient magical ritual that will shed the pounds against all the laws of nature.
What avid diet fans should realize is that you may lose weight on a 3 day diet but firstly it will be because of the massive restriction of amounts you have put on yourself. The next fact is that you are not losing body fat on a 3 day diet and instead you are losing water-weight. A 3 day diet will leave you dehydrated and the minute you start eating normally or take in sufficient amounts of fluids, that weight loss will disappear as your body cells revert to normal. Still want to consider a 3 day diet?
3 Day Diet Not A Long Term Solution
There is no way to lose weight drastically and in a healthy way at the same time. Each time you crash-diet and this includes a 3 day diet, you cause damage to your body and put your health at great risk. Yes, it does take longer to lose weight by eating a nutritionally balanced diet. You need to cut out high fat foods and eat fruit in moderation. Processed foods should be totally avoided and no snacking between meals or you defeat the object of trying to lose weight. A 3 day diet does not educate you. You should learn about carbohydrates and which carbohydrates pack on the calories. Instead of grasping at straws like the 3 day diet, forget about timeframes. Be kind to your body and take it slow by eating properly. A 3 day diet will not expect you to get enough exercise and rest. It will take a few months but the weight will melt away. It is not a quick fix like the 3 day diet promises to be but does not fulfill. Your body will be much healthier. You should never have to deprive yourself of good food and the much needed nutrients.
Diets like the 3 day diet promise you miracles. Yes, you do lose weight on the 3 day diet, but nobody tells you about the liver damage that you may face as your liver goes into ketosis when you eat mostly protein. Instead eat healthy, lose weight slowly and you will reap the benefits over a lifetime. Avoid the empty promises of a 3 day diet.
