Many People Are Asking: Does The Atkins Diet Work?
All over the world, people are concerned about obesity and dieting. And that is for good reason because we as a population are getting heavier than ever before in history. You can diet, get surgery or start eating a lot of supplements, that are geared towards a loss of weight. But the problem with most of these solutions is that they do not address the real issue. The real issue is that we need to change our lifestyle as a means to losing weight, and stay slimmer.
In our household we also had a bit of a weight problem at one point, and we decided to do something about it. A friend of mine was on a low carb diet, called the Atkins diet. So the question to him was “does the Atkins diet work?”
And he said that it worked for him, but so had other cures, and after the cures, he had gained his weight and then some again.
I then went on the internet and searched for the phrase: does the Atkins diet work and got several results, actually I were surprised at how many people were answering that question in a positive way.
I researched lots of terms related to does the Atkins diet work, and came up with a lot of information on low carb dieting. I also found that it seems many people thinks that the Atkins diet works, and that it works very well is what they report. I discovered that lots of restaurants advertise with the fact that they have low carbohydrate meals to address does the Atkins diet work.
What I learned about the Atkins diet is this: it addresses the real issue of obesity, namely the lifestyle and eating habits of most overweight people. When you follow the Atkins diet, you learn that it is not only a question of getting on a diet for a period of time, if you want to stay healthy and get rid of that overweight for good, you will have to change your eating habits, and your lifestyle… For the rest of your life.
Now, understand me right, when I answered the question, does the Atkins diet work, I didn’t mean that you are not allowed any sort of fat foods ever again, you just have to be aware of what you are eating, and realize that when you eat fatty foods you will end up gaining weight if you overdo it.
My personal approach is to eat live foods mainly, an approach I learned from Tony Robbins, the incredible mental and life trainer, I attended a course of his in London in 2000, and that taught me a lot about healthy and living foods, and by living foods I mean, eat lots of vegetables, they are also low on carbohydrates.
So my answer to the question: Does the Atkins diet work? Is a big resounding: Yes… but only if you stay on the healthy lifestyle path.
